my design studio is currently hiring for the following positions:

 

Project Administrator – Residential Construction:

We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Administrator/Coordinator that will manage our new Low Rise and High Rise residential projects for our many builder clients. Projects vary from entry level to luxury estate homes.

We’re growing quickly and looking to add a motivated new member to our team!

The successful candidate will be client focused with the ability to interface with new homeowners, trades, vendors and builders. Have excellent construction knowledge and be detail oriented; able to multi-task with little supervision.

My Design Studio has a pleasant and positive environment with an excellent renumeration package for the right individual.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise between the Design Consultants and our builder’s construction sites and the homeowners and vendors/trades.
  • New project set-up; coordinate upgrade pricing contracts, samples and specs from vendors
  • Review for accuracy completed extras/upgrades orders prior to sending to builder.
  • Coordinate scheduling structural/architectural appointments with the receptionist.
  • Follow up on pending issues with consultants and homeowners in order that paperwork gets processed.

Skills & Education

  • Minimum three years residential construction experience
  • Relevant post-secondary diploma or degree required.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) experience required.
  • Builder software program experience a bonus (HOMES, Builder Lynx, New Star… etc)

Senior Design Consultant (Contract):

My Design Studio, an independent Décor Studio located in Toronto, is seeking a Senior Design Consultant that will provide exceptional service to new Low Rise residential and condominium homeowners and our many builder clients. Focusing on luxury projects, (projects may vary).

  • Guide homeowners through their structural, electrical and colour selections
  • Enter selections into a data management program, ensuring accuracy for distribution to our builder clients
  • Create and maintain displays and selection sample library for various developments
  • Continuously work to improve procedures and processes
  • Ensure revenue targets are achieved within required timeliness
  • Meet with suppliers/trade vendors to assist in the selection of standard and upgrade offerings
  • Create or maintain AutoCAD drawings as required
  • Maintain an immaculate and organized décor centre and office environment.

Skills & Education

  • Minimum five years previous décor centre experience in new home and condominium constructionrelevant post-secondary diploma or degree required.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD required.
  • Must have exceptional written and communications skills.
  • ARIDO/IDC member preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
